Organic Sunflower Seeds, FOR SPROUTING
Organic Sunflower
Sunflower is one of the most popular varieties among microgreen growers and consumers. Its fast-growing leaves have a delicate, nutty flavor, making them highly versatile in the kitchen. They are also rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, adding both flavor and nutritional value to your dishes.
Organic sunflower, botanically known as Helianthus annuus, is a large-seeded variety. In just a couple of weeks, it develops sturdy, bright green leaves. With their sweet, slightly earthy aroma and juicy, crunchy texture, they are an excellent addition to a wide range of recipes.
How can I grow it?
Growing organic sunflower sprouts and microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
Before soaking and sowing, we recommend refrigerating the seeds for 2–3 days. This stimulates germination and helps produce a faster, more uniform harvest.
After removing the seeds from the refrigerator, soak them in cold water for about 10–12 hours, then drain and gently dry them. After sowing, keep them in the dark for the first 4–6 days while they germinate.
Water at least twice a day. Your organic sunflower microgreens will be ready to harvest and enjoy in 12–14 days.
How can I eat it?
Organic sunflower microgreens have a delicate flavor with a subtle earthy and nutty aftertaste, enhancing your recipes without overpowering other ingredients. Their crunchy texture makes them perfect as an addition to your favorite hot or cold dishes, as a simple snack, or as a base for salads.
