Organic Fennel Seeds, FOR SPROUTING
Organic Fennel
Organic fennel seeds, botanically known as Foeniculum vulgare, are a classic variety in traditional Mediterranean cuisine. They produce fine leaves rich in flavour and nutrients such as vitamin C, fibre, iron and calcium. Their liquorice-like aroma becomes more pronounced as the seedlings mature, so sample them regularly during cultivation to harvest your microgreens at the perfect time.
How can I grow it?
Growing organic fennel sprouts and microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
We recommend sowing fennel seeds in soil and keeping them in the dark for the first 5–6 days of germination. To bring out fennel’s fresh, intense flavour and ensure proper growth, move the tray into the light after the first week and wait 12–14 days before harvesting your delicious organic fennel microgreens.
How can I eat it?
Thanks to their fresh, anise-like flavour, organic fennel sprouts and microgreens are a perfect natural addition to any dish. They are especially suitable as a garnish for meat and fish dishes or as a creative addition to desserts.
