Organic Alfalfa Seeds, FOR SPROUTING
Organic Alfalfa Seeds, FOR SPROUTING
Alfalfa, botanically known as Medicago sativa, is one of the most widely used sprouts in Europe and North America.
How can I grow it?
Growing organic alfalfa sprouts and microgreens is quick and easy, even at home.
We recommend soaking the seeds for 5–6 hours; this step is essential to help the seeds germinate as evenly as possible.
Next, rinse and drain your organic alfalfa seeds 2–3 times a day, making sure the water does not settle or stagnate.
To bring out the sweet, crunchy flavour of organic alfalfa sprouts, it is best to keep your growing tray in a cool, dark place until the day before harvest.
Your organic alfalfa microgreens will be ready to harvest in 10–14 days.
How can I eat it?
Once harvested, you can add the sprouts to salads or enjoy them raw.
Organic alfalfa sprouts tend to wilt quickly, so we recommend storing them in the refrigerator and consuming them within a day to fully enjoy their flavour.
Organic alfalfa seeds may contain traces of soy, mustard, wheat, gluten and grasses.
