Organic red Bolivian balanda (kynva) is suitable for use in both hot and cold dishes. Can be used for salads, soups, stews. It is delicious eaten as a hot porridge – spiced or sweet with milk (coconut, soya or almond), nuts or fruit. Suitable for vegans.
High in fibre. An excellent source of protein with a balanced set of amino acids needed by humans. Protein helps maintain muscle mass growth, preserve muscle mass and maintain normal bone health.
Preparation: be sure to wash the groats in cold water before cooking. Boil for 15 minutes in a 1:2 ratio with water.
