Organic dried spearmint
From 1.05€
Spearmint is a perennial aromatic plant in the Lamiaceae family, native to Europe and Asia. It has a mild, slightly sweet aroma, reminiscent of the fresh scent of green leaves. Unlike peppermint, spearmint has no (or very little) menthol, which gives it a milder and less pungent taste.
Traditionally used for:
indigestion,
in teas, in cooking (especially in Mediterranean cuisine),
as a natural flavouring in chewing gums, toothpastes and mouthwashes.
Tea (infusion of dried leaves)
Dose: 1-2 teaspoons of dried sea buckthorn or ~5-10 fresh leaves
Preparation: pour 250 ml of hot (not boiling) water over the tea, steep for 5-10 minutes, then strain
Use 2-3 times a day after meals to improve digestion or reduce nausea.
